When Worlds Collide: Navigating the Multimodal AI Revolution
Hila Waisman

Abstract

Remember when we could specialize in just NLP or CV? Those days are fading fast. As someone who’s navigated both worlds, I’ve witnessed firsthand how these once-separate domains are rapidly converging.

In this roundtable, we’ll explore:

* How traditional AI specializations are blending in unexpected ways
* Real challenges teams face when building multimodal systems
* Practical strategies for adapting our skills and careers

Let’s have an honest conversation about where our fields are heading and how we can prepare ourselves for this exciting yet challenging future.
