From Queries to Insights: AI-Powered Threat Analysis Through Natural Language

Abstract

Imagine facing a wave of cyberattacks on your website. Where do you start? Traditionally, security analysts rely on dashboards filled with complex filters. What if they could simply ask, “Show me attack trends from last week”?

Akamai has developed a production-ready system that uses natural language for data analysis and retrieval, allowing security researchers and Akamai customers to investigate cyber threats more intuitively. Our solution leverages various LLMs, integrating dynamic few-shot learning and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance accuracy and adaptability. By incorporating real-time user feedback, we continuously refine the system to improve performance and relevance.

This session will explore the system’s architecture, how we trained and evaluated it, and the challenges we faced in real-world deployment. We will also discuss the next steps in advancing AI-powered cybersecurity analytics.
