Medical AI models often struggle with incomplete imaging data due to variations in scanning protocols, patient motion, or hardware differences. These gaps introduce biases, reducing model generalizability and limiting clinical reliability. To tackle this, we developed adversarial networks (GANs) and robust deep learning strategies to reconstruct missing scans and enhance model performance. Our findings reveal that GANs can generate images with clinically meaningful information, outperforming traditional methods. This approach not only fills the gaps in data but also opens new possibilities for AI-driven diagnostics, ensuring more accurate and equitable healthcare solutions.
Yael Hodaya Moshe is a mathematics and data science researcher specializing in deep learning, computer vision, and generative models for medical applications. Currently completing a Ph.D. in applied mathematics at Bar-Ilan University & Sagol Brain Institute, Ichilov, Yael focuses on deep learning methods for MRI analysis and addresses missing data challenges in brain tumor classification. Experienced in GANs, diffusion models, and automated nerve pathway mapping, Yael is passionate about advancing AI solutions for medical imaging.
