Bridging the gaps: Exploring how GAN-generated images handle missing MRI brain tumor data in classification.

Abstract

Medical AI models often struggle with incomplete imaging data due to variations in scanning protocols, patient motion, or hardware differences. These gaps introduce biases, reducing model generalizability and limiting clinical reliability. To tackle this, we developed adversarial networks (GANs) and robust deep learning strategies to reconstruct missing scans and enhance model performance. Our findings reveal that GANs can generate images with clinically meaningful information, outperforming traditional methods. This approach not only fills the gaps in data but also opens new possibilities for AI-driven diagnostics, ensuring more accurate and equitable healthcare solutions.
