Across the entire tech sector, the percentage of women in tech leadership roles is trending down, currently at 28%, according to DDI’s 2023 Global Leadership Forecast. As the field of data science continues to evolve, it is crucial to ensure that women have equal opportunities to advance and thrive in senior leadership positions. The roundtable will focus on exploring effective strategies and best practices for fostering women’s career progression and enabling their transition into senior leadership roles. By fostering an open and collaborative space, the roundtable aims to generate actionable insights and recommendations that can be implemented by individuals, organizations, and policymakers to promote women’s representation in senior leadership roles within tech companies. Ultimately, it seeks to inspire and empower women to break through barriers and reach their full potential in the data science and tech industry.Dr. Anna Levant is an algorithm group manager at Applied Materials.
